The quad exercise set is often used. It starts with quadriceps contraction, while allowing slow knee movement and then it slowly helps in muscle extension. For this exercise, back of knee is pushed into the bed and contraction is hold for 10-12 seconds. Another exercise used is straight leg raises. It increases flexibility in quadriceps and hip muscles. For this, raise your one leg straight with the other one bent, lift it towards the other knee, and slowly come down. Three sets of 10 each are performed for both exercises respectively. For regaining limb mobility, heel slides are performed, for which you require to slide the heel of the engaged leg till you experience a stretch through knee. Repeat this movement 10 times. In addition, knee extension exercises are also performed. Calve stretch and hamstring stretches ensure that there is flexibility.
